Our basement took on water during “The Great Flood of Willmar, 2025.” We called SafeBasements because they had done my daughter’s house about 6 yrs ago. Shane came out and explained the process and answered about 100 questions we had. He answered several more questions by phone after he left and we decided to have the work done. The guys started on a Monday and finished on Thursday night. They put up plastic to minimize the dust and they busted their tails every day. They worked with me to move a drain pipe that was poorly installed and filled in and cemented over the old sump basin. Joel and Colton were friendly and hard-working and even let my 9 yr old grandson try his hand at finishing concrete. I couldn’t be happier with the finished work and now I can sleep when it rains.The hardest part was arranging payment because the office was so busy setting up jobs. We know people who have had similar work done by different contractors and still had flooding. Call these guys and get it done right.

Jackhammer John did a bang up job on my basement. The more I learned about basement waterproofing, the more it sounded like an elaborate punishment reserved only for Soviet Gulag prisoners. After we got a quote from SafeBasements, the cantankerous weight of oppression was lifted from my shoulders and placed on SafeBasements. They absorbed the wrath of my basement in my stead and I will forever be thankful!

SafeBasements recently updated our existing interior drain tile system and installed a new sump pump and back up pump (with battery). We were getting water intrusion in 2 separate areas of our basement - likely because weep holes weren’t standard when the original drain tile was installed.The work consisted of jackhammering the two areas, drilling weep holes, installing SafeEdge, and replacing the concrete. Encapsulation was also installed in one of the areas. Our previous sump pump had a very loud shut off valve and the sump pump discharges through the wall of our bedroom, so our sleep was disrupted after heavy rains when the sump pump goes off every 2-3 minutes. The new sump pump is near silent in our bedroom. It’s only been 2+ weeks since our install, but we’ve had at least one heavy rain and both areas of our basement have stayed dry as well. Hopefully I’ll be able to stop obsessively checking weather forecasts soon.We got multiple quotes for this project and SafeBasements was the only company that provided a solution that didn’t involve completely replacing the drain tile system - which reduced the overall cost considerably. Jon Stifter evaluated/quoted our project and we found him very knowledgeable and valued his experience.We may need some foundation work in the future (SafeBasements also evaluated this, but said we could monitor vs. doing work now) and we won’t hesitate to reach out to them again if we need to do this additional work in the future.

I'm writing a glowing review on work that we DIDN'T do with SafeBasements. We have a cement block that's was corroded along with a sinking corner of our driveway on the exterior side of our garage - we'd already gotten 5 estimates that ranged from "This is no big deal" to "your house is going to fall down". The 6th company we reached out to was SafeBasements (Thanks ChatGPT for the reco!)John F came out and reassured us that our house was NOT going to fall down and we were being taken advantage of by two of the companies that gave us extremely high bids (he even named them w/o us telling them who they were!). He told us exactly what was happening and why, and all we really needed was some cement work done to repair a few blocks and even gave us a recommendation on who he trusts at his home to do the work.While we didn't need SafeBasements this time (only because we didn't actually need true foundational repair), I know when we finish our basement I'll be calling them to do any work we need help with.Thanks John F for the saving the day! We had tile put all around the basement edges. The person who came to give the quote was very helpful in explaining what he was seeing, what needed to be done and answering all questions. They scheduled us in very quickly and the team of workers (Matt, Cody, and Mike) were very courteous and hard working. They kept things picked up and clean at they worked and left the basement in great shape. They answered all the questions we had along the way.I would recommend to anyone.I am so excited not to have to worry about water clean up after the next big rain! Thanks for the great work guys!

I had some water leakage coming from my foundation. I called SafeBasements and they came out and figured out the issues with my foundation drainage. They had a solution to the problem with an outstanding price compared to other companies. They worked out a date and time frame that worked with me and came out to complete the job fast, effectively and efficiently. They even covered up and closed off the area with plastic to not have dust come up! Finished job was outstanding! I know I’ll never have any further issues going forward; and lifetime warranty!
