John came for his initial assessment of my basement that looked like a scary horror movie set aka “the PIT”! John discussed what needed to be done and was very helpful with many suggestions. This has been in my honey do list for a long long time. Once i signed and agreed to the contract within hours, Pam reached out to me to set up the day the work would start, which was only a few days. She was able to pull the permit.The crew reached out the morning of the day work was to begin to give me updates to their arrival time. Once they arrived John, the foreman, who has been with safe basements for 13 years, gave me updates of what they were going to do step by step. Crew of John, Kieran and Luke were very respectful of making sure to get the dirt and rock in/out in the most efficient way possible by using a basement window instead of going up and down the stairs thru the house. I was very appreciative that all the rocks, dirt and supplies didn’t have to go thru my house! And I know hauling the dirt and rock was allot of work!!!After two days I now have a beautiful clean space, that I will no longer have to worry about water intrusion, all thanks to safe basements. Before the crew left, John went over the sump pump mechanics and discussed the install in further detail. The entire team was even approved by my very opinionated Airedales!!😁I am so happy with the work done and I no longer have that ugly basement! Highly reccommend safe basements and their team!

Because of a high water table in our area, rain exceeding 1.75" in a 24-hour period would cause water to seep in at the floor level under the concrete block wall along a section of our basement. The SafeBasement's team removed the concrete floor adjacent to the wall, inserted their specialized tile system, and attached it to our existing drain tile system to channel any water table intrusion directly into our sump system.

Our basement took on water during “The Great Flood of Willmar, 2025.” We called SafeBasements because they had done my daughter’s house about 6 yrs ago. Shane came out and explained the process and answered about 100 questions we had. He answered several more questions by phone after he left and we decided to have the work done. The guys started on a Monday and finished on Thursday night. They put up plastic to minimize the dust and they busted their tails every day. They worked with me to move a drain pipe that was poorly installed and filled in and cemented over the old sump basin. Joel and Colton were friendly and hard-working and even let my 9 yr old grandson try his hand at finishing concrete. I couldn’t be happier with the finished work and now I can sleep when it rains.The hardest part was arranging payment because the office was so busy setting up jobs. We know people who have had similar work done by different contractors and still had flooding. Call these guys and get it done right.

SafeBasements recently updated our existing interior drain tile system and installed a new sump pump and back up pump (with battery). We were getting water intrusion in 2 separate areas of our basement - likely because weep holes weren’t standard when the original drain tile was installed.The work consisted of jackhammering the two areas, drilling weep holes, installing SafeEdge, and replacing the concrete. Encapsulation was also installed in one of the areas. Our previous sump pump had a very loud shut off valve and the sump pump discharges through the wall of our bedroom, so our sleep was disrupted after heavy rains when the sump pump goes off every 2-3 minutes. The new sump pump is near silent in our bedroom. It’s only been 2+ weeks since our install, but we’ve had at least one heavy rain and both areas of our basement have stayed dry as well. Hopefully I’ll be able to stop obsessively checking weather forecasts soon.We got multiple quotes for this project and SafeBasements was the only company that provided a solution that didn’t involve completely replacing the drain tile system - which reduced the overall cost considerably. Jon Stifter evaluated/quoted our project and we found him very knowledgeable and valued his experience.We may need some foundation work in the future (SafeBasements also evaluated this, but said we could monitor vs. doing work now) and we won’t hesitate to reach out to them again if we need to do this additional work in the future.

We had tile put all around the basement edges. The person who came to give the quote was very helpful in explaining what he was seeing, what needed to be done and answering all questions. They scheduled us in very quickly and the team of workers (Matt, Cody, and Mike) were very courteous and hard working. I had some water leakage coming from my foundation. I called SafeBasements and they came out and figured out the issues with my foundation drainage. They had a solution to the problem with an outstanding price compared to other companies. They worked out a date and time frame that worked with me and came out to complete the job fast, effectively and efficiently.
